Degrees: Althea holds a specialization in Women’s Studies, received certification as a Transformational Mastery Coach from Health Coach Institute, and is currently pursuing Professional Coach Certification, an International Coach Federation designation, through Interpersonal Wellness Learning Institute. She has also studied mindful self-compassion and Naturopathy which allows her to bring a holistic approach to her coaching.

Bio: Althea Burke is a Self-Discovery Coach who helps women uncover their authentic selves and take empowered action toward a purpose-driven life. She is the Founder of The S.A.M.E. Method™, a system that helps women develop true self-awareness. She is a motivational speaker, author, and owner of Day Defined - a health and life coaching practice. 


She’s been in the human services sector for nearly a decade driving performance metrics at the start-up level, overseeing day-to-day operations at John Howard Society, organizing city-wide initiatives advocating for marginalized groups, and ultimately, helping hundreds of people take action toward living meaningful lives. 


When she’s offline you can find her leading a Bible Study, volunteering on the development committee with Court Appointed Special Advocates, and hiking the beautiful Missouri trails.

Bio:  Kristin is known as "The Communicator." Her visionary ideas have put people, companies, and products on the map for years. It was Kristin who brainstormed a media campaign for artist Mike McNeilly that became an industry itself – Tall Wall Media, the giant billboards on the sides of buildings in major markets.


A thought leader in new media over the last twenty-five years, Kristin has worked alongside corporations, agencies, and small business clients, focusing her career on emerging high-technology companies and consumer brands. She has led numerous successful branding companies and has provided lead generation strategies that have produced significant returns on investment for B2B and B2C companies.   

A seasoned veteran with extensive experience in traditional marketing, corporate communications, and public relations, Kristin is a veteran within integrated and online marketing. She is involved in managing clients towards strategies for public relations, branding, search engine optimization (SEO), reputation management, and social media marketing (SMM).


Kristin’s most recent online work can be seen all over the Internet. Her PR successes often show up in media such as Business Week, the Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, Men’s Fitness, PC Magazine, the Hollywood Reporter, Angelino, KABC-TV, and Entertainment Tonight, to name a few.

Her larger corporate high-tech clients have included antivirus leader Trend Micro, Iolo Technologies, LLC, developers of the System Mechanic product line (, CyberDefender Corporation, Panda U.S.  At Applied DNA Sciences (OTCBB: APDN), a provider of embedded DNA biotechnology anti-counterfeit solutions. Kristin’s work led to significant trade/consumer press for the company and a higher market-entry valuation upon going public. She also spent several years working in-house at Symantec Corporation.


Earlier in her career, Kristin worked in-house for advertising and PR agencies in New York and Los Angeles including N.W. Ayer International, The Rowland Company, and Daniel J. Edelman.


Kristin is just as happy presenting to a Board of eight, as she is throwing an event for three thousand. She handled PR for the American Veteran Awards annual televised red-carpet event for seven years and coordinated a major market event for LA Architect magazine called “Downtown LA: Where Design Hits the Road,” which drew over 3,000 visitors to historic downtown, generated excellent media coverage, and raised over $10,000 for charity, Project AngelFood.
