The Professional Sales Virtual Academy is for those who are motivated to solve customer needs, create compelling client solutions, and greatly increase career traction. You will build executive-level skills by learning about Client Relationship Management (CRM) software, as well as how to put together sales plans, analyze customer data, navigate digital presentations, and so much more. These are the types of hard skills you need whether you're just getting started in sales or trying to seize a promotion at your current corporation. 

 

This 16-week online course uses group discussions and role-playing scenarios to help build professional skills such as negotiating, prospecting, needs assessment, public speaking, and confidence. This program offers mentorship and career coaching to further build on these skills, as well as help you perfect your LinkedIn profile and tailor your resume and cover letter to professional sales positions. Your instructors will also show you the best practices for job prospecting and interviewing.

 

Plus, you will become part of ENTITY’s exclusive Mentor Network and be able to attend live speaker sessions with guest mentors from a variety of industries. ENTITY also provides soft skills workshops to train you on skills such as resilience, leadership, collaboration, time management, and empathy. We’re here to make sure you’re ready to hit the ground running after graduation!

Meet Your Instructor 

Bernice Burns, MBA is a Virtanza-certified instructor and will be leading the Professional Sales Virtual Academy. She is a seasoned sales and management professional who brings over 30 years of real-world perspective to the program.

Her past career experiences include assignments at The Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Business Journal, Thomson Reuters, Gannett/USA Today Network, American Banker, and American Lawyer. She holds a BA from Connecticut College, and she earned her MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management.

Why We Like This Course

ENTITY Academy is on a mission to be the go-to source for all things career advancement for women. We strategically partner with other programs to make sure female professionals of all ages and backgrounds are able to find curricula so they can upskill and reskill for the 21st century workforce. 

The Professional Sales Virtual Academy is here to help ambitious career women uncover their sales potential. Here are just a few of the reasons we like this course.

Instructors: The instructors for this course are industry veterans who are here to impart their expertise to the next generation of sales professionals.  The classroom ratio is typically 1:20 for a larger course, and 1:2 for roleplay exercises. 

Interactive Roleplay Exercises: Students get hands-on training through our roleplay workshops, where they switch between the roles of salesperson and client with one of their peers. These sessions are guided by one of our experienced instructors and include constructive feedback.

Coaching Office Hours: These "Office Hours" are essentially on-demand Zoom calls that run for a couple of hours per week. Students can also request 1:1 Zoom calls with instructors if they need extra help. We're making sure our students get the support they need! 

Personal Branding: This course doesn't just give you the sales tools needed to succeed, it also teaches best practices for resume and portfolio building, as well as LinkedIn profile optimization.  

Employer Connections: In addition to Virtanza's Sales2Job portal, students are introduced to hiring managers when employer-partners are invited to speak to a class about interviewing, hiring expectations, and career paths at their organizations. 

I have never taken a more beneficial class in my three years of college.
