Tuition Options
Lambda School offers a variety of traditional and deferred tuition options to make starting a new career accessible to anyone, including Income Share Agreements and Tuition Installments.
Income Share Agreements
The Lambda School Income Share Agreement (ISA) is a form of deferred tuition under which you agree to pay 17% of your post-Lambda School salary for 24 months, but only once you're making more than $50,000 per year (or the equivalent of $4,166.67 per month). The ISA is capped at $30,000, so you'll never pay more than that for any reason. And if you don't get hired? You never pay.
ISAs are not available for California residents. Instead, Lambda School offers a Retail Installment Contract as a deferred payment option. The main difference between an ISA and a RIC is the payment cap. Under an ISA, there are three scenarios in which you would stop paying Lambda School: after making 24 payments, after 60 months of payment deferral, or after reaching the $30,000 cap. Students who sign a RIC will pay the full $30,000 regardless of how many payments it takes.
$50,000
—
You only start to pay back your tuition once you’re making a salary of at least $50,000 annually.
$0
—
If your income falls below $50,000 your payments pause.
17%
—
Once you land a job and are earning at least $50,000 per year, you will agree to pay back 17% of your salary per month for the duration of the ISA.
$30,000
—
There is a payment cap of $30,000 in place, meaning once you hit this number, even if it has not been 24 months, payment ceases.
Tuition Installments
If you choose not to use a deferred tuition option like an Income Share Agreement (ISA) or California Retail Installment Contract (CA RIC) to pay for Lambda School, you have the option to pay upfront tuition in installments. Depending on the state you live in, your payment schedule and the amount you’ll be required to pay may vary.*
*Due to state regulatory requirements, students who enroll in California, Washington D.C., Georgia, or Texas are not eligible for the $15,000 upfront tuition offer and will be required to pay $30,000 upfront or in installments.

Once you are enrolled and have selected the upfront tuition option, you will receive an emailed invoice that you can pay by ACH, wire, or check. To make an ACH payment use the link in your invoice email. To make a wire or check payment, follow the instructions in the invoice email.
You pay your tuition in multiple payments, but the full amount must be paid by the enrollment deadline for your cohort or you will not be able to start. If you’d like to pay tuition over time, see the section above about tuition installments.

I started this program with very little development knowledge and got a job two weeks before even completing the program. The course was very challenging for me but an overall success because it got me to where I wanted to be...hired!The diverse coursework was a selling point for me as well as the option to do the Income Share Agreement.
ANNE C. | WEB DEVELOPMENT GRADUATE
I joined Lambda School because I needed a career change. I was in a dead-end job. This was the best decision I have ever made, and today I accepted an almost-6-figure offer...My four-year degree can't touch that with a ten-foot pole!
