Vanderbilt University is looking for a skilled digital marketing and recruitment manager. This person will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing marketing campaigns for online and hybrid programs launched by the Office of Digital Education (ODE).
This role will work collaboratively across academic units, and within the Office of Digital Education, to envision effective and strategic marketing campaigns that will drive quality enrollments to online and hybrid learning programs. In addition, this role will also serve as a liaison between academic units, Vanderbilt’s marketing and communications stakeholders, and external partners.

Duties And Responsibilities
The digital marketing and recruitment manager will support the development and design of online and hybrid programs. They will work closely with academic program faculty and staff to develop unique marketing strategies and campaigns that will drive quality student enrollments. This individual will be responsible for serving as a liaison between key internal and external stakeholders. An ideal candidate has strong communication skills, an appetite for collaboration, a deep understanding of digital marketing strategies and end-user experience, as well as an eye for detail.
Strategy & Planning
Work with academic units to develop strategic marketing vision, budget, and implementation plans.
Facilitate a coordinated approach to optimize student enrollment, including inquiry generation, conversion rate optimization, and inquiry nurturing.
Develop a deep understanding of admissions and recruitment funnels for academic programs.
Provide direction for the development and maintenance of website content, search engine optimization, digital marketing assets, and other social and emerging digital marketing channels/techniques.
Establish best practices for digital marketing processes across Vanderbilt’s online learning programs.
Assist in shaping the holistic vision for Vanderbilt Online marketing and brand strategy.
Provide content management for the Office of Digital Education website and social media.
Relationship Management
Participate in the evaluation and selection of external marketing agencies and/or online program service providers.
In partnership with ODE’s project manager, provide oversight and management of external marketing partners.
Manage the development and continuous improvement of online program marketing/recruitment efforts with external partners.
Develop all marketing creative and collateral with external partners as needed.
Oversee data integration, security, and compliance for online/hybrid marketing initiatives.
Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders.
Assessment
Analyze and evaluate end-to-end marketing campaign performances.
Conduct market research to identify trends and insights to optimize digital marketing for current and future programs.
Present marketing performance data to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree is required.
Professional certification in Google Analytics and Google Search Ads preferred.
3-5 years of experience in digital marketing.
Experience in higher education is preferred.
Expertise in Google Analytics.
Expertise in SEO strategy, digital marketing, paid social, and CRM optimization.
Experience working in WordPress.
Experience working and liaising with agencies and third parties.
Experience working effectively in cross-functional teams.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Creative and data-driven.
Excellent project management skills.
Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and ability to deal with multiple constituencies concurrently to meet deadlines.
Ability to support and educate users with a variety of technical skills and backgrounds.
Demonstrated competence in Microsoft Office 365, Zoom, and Teams.
