Barbara Covington has a diverse tech background, with specialties in systems analysis, data analysis, metrics and reporting, and program/project management. She has worked as a data analyst and programmer at huge companies like Raytheon, United Healthcare, and Princess Cruises and spent six years working in cybersecurity at The Walt Disney Company. Barbara first earned a B.A. in political science/economics from the University of California at Irvine before obtaining her M.F.A. in theater arts with a specialty in stage management from California State University at Fullerton. She then worked as a story editor for Mysterious Ways and as a production assistant for Star Trek: Deep Space Nine as well as other credits that can be found on her IMDB page. She went back to California State University at Fullerton, this time earning an M.A. in computer science, with a concentration in data mining and software engineering. She landed her first tech internship at Raytheon at the age of 47 and continued to work in the tech sector. Currently, she is the founder and president of her own company, Dataguay, Sociedad Limitada in Spain.
