Kat Young

Kat Young works as a software engineer at Microsoft. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in computer science and playing on the volleyball team at the University of Virginia, she utilized her extra year of NCAA eligibility to play one more season and also earned her master’s degree in computer science, with a concentration in data science, from Virginia Commonwealth University. While in college, Kat interned as a machine learning engineer at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) and as a developer at Data Works. She is extremely passionate about the field of AI and the ways it can be used to support good causes.
